Throughfeed grinding, a type of centerless grinding, is optimally suited for precisely and inexpensively grinding serial parts like pins, bolts, shafts, and pistons with the same diameter. Here the axis of the feed wheel relative to the grinding disk axis is inclined about 3 degrees, whereby a longitudinal movement that draws the work piece between the two disks occurs.
